I am a full Professor of Education at the College of Educational Sciences of Yonsei University since March of 2023. After receiving my Ph.D. in quantitative methods from the University of Minnesota in June of 2010, I worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a postdoctoral research associate from July of 2010 to July of 2012.
I also worked at Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia as an Assistant Professor at the Research, Statistics, and Evaluation program from August of 2012 to July of 2018.
From August of 2018 to January of 2020, I worked as an Associate Professor of Research Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California since August of 2018, and also serve as the director of the Biostatistics Core of the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Since February 2020, I worked as an Associate Professor of Education at Yonsei University, South Korea.
As a quantitative methodologist in Biostatistics and Social/Behavior Sciences, I am primarily interested in improving current quantitative methods and implementing new applications to facilitate the answering of substantive research questions in human sciences. My current research interests include analysis of longitudinal and multilevel data, structural equation modeling, psychometrics, propensity score analysis, and meta-analysis in education, psychology, medicine, nursing, and public health.
